“Fantastic Plastic”, solo show, Alliance Française, Guatemala City

More than a century ago, the scientific invention of plastic dazzled the world: it is cheap, indestructible, and transformable. Countless objects are created from this fantastic and indispensable material, which we insist on corrupting. We feel for it such attraction and dependence that its massive consumption and the resulting enormous quantities of its detritus are polluting our planet at unsustainable levels.

With my research, and through my aesthetic proposals with materials as vulgar and common as polymers, I seek to motivate the observer to reflect.

What is plastic? A material that can inspire and transform into the unthinkable. Including a work of art.
